DESCRIPTION: The Mission Coordinator (MC) is a highly experienced and knowledgeable individual who integrates, coordinates, manages and directs all Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) equipment necessary to accomplish a specific, tasked mission objective. This includes but is not limited to the existing and forecasted weather conditions for the duration of flight activities, and ensuring operating airspace has been properly coordinated. A thorough understanding of UAS tactics and capabilities in conjunction with other assigned air and ground assets is essential to successfully accomplishing the mission objective. Normally he/she manages UAS in a forward area of contingency operations. While operating from the deployed location, all FSRs are responsible to, and work directly for, the assigned Site Lead for daily tasking, regardless of parent company. Each FSR will be integrated into the flying/maintenance schedule and is not solely responsible for one area of the deployment location requirements (programming, maintenance, refueling). The FSR will be integrate with all facets of the operation and be able to operate, communicate, and work in support of mission requirements. It is the FSR's responsibility to ensure mission success through aircraft serviceability, system operability, system reliability and operational support stability. The MC is responsible for de-confliction between the UAS, other airborne platforms and fires. Additionally, he is responsible coordinating real time customer desires with respect to UAS tasking and assisting the UAS Operator place the sensor point of interest on the desired target. This will be accomplished via customer provided mapping products and communication means.

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one year as Mission Coordinator for ScanEagle UAS in a deployed status. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret operational and maintenance documents dealing with Insitu’s ScanEagle UAS, as well as ArgenTech Solutions' and US Governmental requirements for operating in AOR and AFLOAT deployed status. Ability to respond effectively to operational inquiries. Ability to write mission reports, and give post-deployment presentations to customers and management. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, and others this position comes in contact with. Personal Computer literacy is required. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to apply principles of logical or operational thinking to a wide range of mission-related and practical problems. Demonstrated operational and programmatic knowledge and performance at a high professional level with minimal guidance and direction is required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small team environment is essential. A SECRET level clearance or the ability to obtain a SECRET level clearance will be required for this position. Hold a valid U.S. Passport. Hold a 2nd Class Aviation Medical Certificate.
